RP-PCP Conference « Coexisting with(in) TFCAs : local perspectives »

7 February 2017 - 31 May 2017

South-East Lowveld Zimbabwe

An international conference co-funded by the RenCaRe and EU-DREAM project dealing with core issues for people living within TFCAs.

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS EXTENTED UNTIL 15th of FEBRUARY

  • Following the successful RP-PCP/AHEAD TFCA conference held in May 2014 in the Hwange Socio-ecosystem (see here for more information), the FSP-RenCaRe and EU-DREAM projects through the Research Platform RP-PCP organise a follow-up meeting in the South-East Lowveld on the 22-27th of May 2017.
  • This conference is the outcome of the RenCaRe project, which adopted from the beginning a participatory process to identify issues at stake for local communities living within the KAZA and GL TFCAs. Relevant issues for research were then translated into research questions that are currently addressed by postgraduate students from Zimbabwe, Botswana, Mozambique, Zambia and France. This conference also benefits from contributions of the EU-DREAM project, which seeks to promote innovation and communication processes among local stakeholders involved in TFCA management, and from the support of the Zone Atelier Hwange (www.za-hwange.cnrs.fr/).

We will bring more information on the organization of this conference on this thread. For the time being find attached the leaflet of the conference and the Abstract submission form to submit abstracts before the 27th fo January 2017:
