Beside the core funding generously provided every year by the French Embassy in Zimbabwe, co-funding of research activities have been supplied by numerous projects. These projects have been coordinated by some RP-PCP institutions or some researchers of the RP-PCP have been involved in such projects as associate partners.

The association of such research or development projects with the RP-PCP ensures the scientific excellence of the platform through international collaborations and the strong link between research activities and the requirement and reality of the field allowing a healthy feedback between development and research.
