All the best for 2018!

The RP-PCP team wishes an excellent year 2018 to all its colleagues!

In the name of the RP-PCP team, we want to wish everybody an excellent year 2018. Happiness, health to all lof you, colleagues, family and friends.

The year 2018 will be an important one for the RP-PCP. During the last Scientific Committee in November 2018, it was proposed that Bindura University of Science Education and Chinhoyi University of Technology will become core members of the platform, hence joining the 4 current core members. In addition, University of Zambia will become a Regional Partner. The Advisory Board in December 2018 validated these propositions and they will come into action in 2018.

We have also new members of the bureau: Prof. Edson Gandiwa will be co-leading the Ecology and Sustainability petal and Dr. Innocent Wadzanayi Nyakudya will co-leading the Agrilculture and Conservation petal. Congratulation to them and good luck in their new position!

Other decisions validated by the Advisory Board include organising Scientific Committee in other core members Universities as well as organising 2 student seminar every year.

Finally, but not the least, there will be at least 2 projects starting in 2018: the ProSuLI and the Sustainable Wildlife Management project. ProSuLi will aim at promoting the sustainable management of TFCAs in Botswana, Mozambique and Zimbabwe. SWM will promote the production of legal and sustainable wildlife proteins as wells alternative domestic proteins for rural local populations. More will come on these projects and others in the coming months.

Best regards,

The RP-PCP team
